Go a couple of days into your trip, when you have got over the initial excitement of Lisbon are are settling in. This is a lovely place to go, read your book, look out over the sea without talking, drink lots of delicious green wine, eat beautifully grilled fish and suspend real life, it's magical. Agree with earlier posts that... More

Located across the Tagus river and not far from the old iron bridge, when the night sky is deep blue and the old Lisbon is alight, the view can be amazing. The place itself is an almost derelict hamlet on the tiniest harbour. It feels like a set for Rossellini film. As explained in earlier posts, to get there simply... More

This is a rare little restaurant, it requires a mildly complex journey to get there but is completely worth it, even for the scenery alone. I would highly recommend the monkfish for dinner, this isn't a portion you would get in the U.K, this was a full fish all for £15 and it was absolutely wonderful, the Portugese really know... More

I loved this place, and even though we crossed over with the ferry to what seemed to be a derelict town, at the end of our walk was this place. Good hearty food, and just like my mother, they give you so much. I ate Cod fitters and whilst my friends only took the soup they were finishing off my... More

Been there for the first time and loved it. Booked in advance for the table on the end, So we ate really inside the river. The food was really good, and the view is something you can't get in many places. If you don't like cats you may not sit outside, as there are plenty of them. All very friendly!

Been there several times, and sent numerous friends. It is a great way of combining simple food, great setting, and a (nearly) free boat ride with a vieuw of the city. If You do not want to spend 10€ on a great bottle of chilled wine, don't go. If You hate getting out of Your hotel, don't go. If You... More

Really good, simple fish dishes that are extremely tasty. Location is peaceful and makes for a great lunch time setting.

I had read about Ponto Final during my research for our trip and decided this would be an ideal spot for lunch during our day trip to Lisbon. We took the 15 minute ferry ride from Cais do Sodre station to Cacilhas. The restaurant is located at the end of a pier which you arrive at having walked 15 minutes... More

if you have time to spend you should go to this restaurant, not because of the food, but for the vue and the crossing of the river.
