A very good restaurant, clean, good food especially for fish lovers...good staff....excellent host.....we go there everytime we are in Avola....will be back in Septermber.....

On the way back to Siracusa, we stopped in Lido di Avola. We asked a gentlemen in front of the Boutique di Pesce for a restaurant nearby and he pointed us to la Taverna..

we went there by recommendation of our hotel owner. it looks very honest italian shabby from the outside and is directly at the seaside harbour of avola. We went there on a monday evening- which is not the best day to find an open or full restaurant in low season. There were only italians and is was almost full. I'm...
