  "We stayed here for a week on our honeymoon and had a generally fantastic time. The location and views are unbeatable, staff are friendly and room was lovely and clean. However, we did think the hotel just needs some neatening around the edges. There was some damage in the pool which looked messy,..." a few wooden area obviously needed varnishing and just some little touches were missing, seemingly because we were in a quiet patch. There was no entertainment or activities, no hot buffet at breakfast (although this meant your choice was freshly cooked), no change of restaurant menu and often no staff for periods of time at the pool bar. Food and drink is also pricey given there are other choices in the bay. Overall though, these were fairly minor issues and we had an amazing week on a good deal as we just wanted a quiet, relaxing time together. However, be wary of the quieter times if you're after more and be warned there are a few improvements needs here answer there. " More >

  "I took my husband to Natures Paradise as a surprise birthday get-away. We aren't "resort" or "big hotel" people. Our least favorite thing on vacation is hearing housekeepers slamming doors down the halls in the morning or hearing the blaring television in the next hotel room so I went looking for so..."mething quiet, private and intimate. We ended up at Natures Paradise in one of the cottages that look out over Marigot Bay and the Caribbean Sea. It really couldn't have been more perfect. The hosts, David and Wanda, were really helpful and hospitable. The grounds are gorgeous and lush. It was like a dream. So peaceful and beautiful. There are fantastic restaurants just a few minutes away. Our favorites were Julietta's and Rain Forest Hideaway. Week day breakfasts were great for meeting the other guests and getting their suggestions on places to visit and things to look out for. If you are looking for a place to relax and unplug and have access to all sorts of fun adventures on the island, then this is the place for you. Louise and Normand are beyond amazing - they go out of their way to make your stay special. Normand (who is, as other reviewers mention a total hoot) personally drove me down to the bay every night and arranged taxis for me to visit various other sites on the island. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The breakfasts are basic, but always include delicious fresh fruit and home-baked muffins. The pool is great. The view from the inn is worth the trip alone.
