Ian and his lovely wife Betty are professionals completely committed to excellence. This fact is borne out by their fabulous ratings here and from the Scottish Tourism agency. I chose them becasue of their number 1 rating here and they surpassed my expectations. The rooms are large and modern, the bathrooms are roomy (and have lots of shelf space for towels, toothpaste and the rest). There is excellent fast wireless internet and the breakfasts are something to look forward to ( I loved the scrambled eggs topped with smoked salmon and chives).   "Fernbank Guest house is a beautiful part of Scotland! Karen the owner is a wonderful person with a great sense of humour. The building is beautiful with nicely appointed rooms and relaxing living areas and breakfast room. The front garden was a lovely spot to sit and relax in the warm sunshine. ..."Karens breakfasts were excellent with large portions and fresh ingredients. Karen was very helpful with advise on touring the area and the local hot spots to dine out. I stayed two nights and cannot commend Fernbank House enough! Hopefully I'll get back there one day.
