  "We stayed here for 3 nights with our 2 college children. I had always wanted to stay here, but I knew there would be compromises. I knew what to expect. Xanterra is the managing agent for the National Park hotels. They have no competition inside the park, so there is no incentive for them to delive..."r outstanding service. We booked a room in the West wing which is the "more modern" wing, built in 1937! Many of the rooms in the old ( built in 1904) part of the inn have no private bath and most had only one double bed. I didn't want to get 2 rooms and my teenage daughter did not want a hall bath. The room had 2 double beds, it was small, no AC. Hot nights, even with a fan. Bathroom was like my grandmas old house, no storage, tight fit! The maid gave us a darling little bear-shaped bar soap the first day. I was hoping to get another or two to take home. She took it from the tub and never replaced it! But they are for sale in the gift shop:( They did not leave us enough toilet paper, ug... " More >

  "If you want to stay in the park but don't want to pay the high price at Old Faithful Inn, then this is the best place to stay! Best feature of this hotel is the size of the rooms. Our room was spacious and VERY comfortable. The location is superb for access to Old Faithful geyser, hiking trails, ..."Old Faithful Inn, and several eating locations to choose from. Our king bed was very comfortable and the room had a nice desk, sitting area, and small frig. We slept with the window open and got lots of cool fresh air (in May). The vanity was outside of the actual toilet/bath room. Good towels in the room. Nice size laundry room. Easy drive from Old Faithful to Norris, Canyon, and Lake areas of the park. Great hiking trails - loved the park - the waterfalls and the Lake were magnificent this time of year! The staff at Old Faithful Snow Lodge were knowledgeable and helpful. " More >
