Ann is certainly a thoughtful hostess and an interesting Alaskan character with lots of stories to tell. She served a different menu each mo..."rning for breakfast, all delicious, and each served with different place settings. We stayed in the large upstairs room with the king bed which was very comfortable with lots of closet and drawer space. Since it was early in the season, there were few other guests at the time. Taking off shoes at the door is an Alaskan tradition, where there is always plenty of rain, snow and outdoors to track in. Carrying coffee cups in a saucer may become my new rule; Ann’s carpets were spotless! We will definitely stay there again when we go to Sitka. " More >

Our room was very comfortable, the bathroom was very well appointed and spotlessly clean and the breakfasts were very satisfying. Even though it was March Ann had the hot tub on for us. She gave us lots of tips on what to see when we arrived, drove us to see the Fortress of the Bears (at no extra charge) and entertained us thoroughly at breakfast with stories of her life, hunting, fishing and Alaska.
