We spent time reading in the peaceful and well-stocked library (which includes books in English) and strolled around the beautiful gardens during the sunny intervals. After our outings in Avignon, we were welcomed by Axel's pre-dinner drinks (a range of local pastis was always on offer) and snacks. Jacqueline is a wonderful cook, and we had a great time chatting to our hosts and the other guests at the dinner table.
