  "This is the second time we have stayed here. My next stay will be in the crows nest (top room). I have a wheat allergy and by letting them know ahead of time, was presented with some wonderful gluten free breakfasts."

  "I had a quick trip and turnaround on Whidby Island, but wanted a nice place to stay in town, so the location of the Anchorage Inn seemed to fit the bill. I found it to be a mix of old world charm and modern day conveniences. Although it has the look of a restored Victorian, I found that it is a ..."purpose build modern day building with the old world look and architecture, complete with a wrap around front porch. The small front room was convenient and welcoming, and the abundance of beverages was a nice touch (coffee, tea, water, cider). I had the Onward Room (#4), 2nd floor at the top of the oak staircase, very bright room, modern bathroom, tub/shower combination and a nice and comfy bed. The high ceiling had very high windows, but nicely enough blinds with long strings to block out the early morning sun.
