Each morning we sat out on the terrace eating a delicious breakfast, taking in the views of the garden, rolling pastures and distant Tor, planning our day ahead. They must have worked tirelessly to bring this historic Arts and Craft house and gardens back to life, giving the whole place a warm, cared for feel whilst retaining all the character of the era. The surrounding countryside is exquisitely pretty - not a blot on the landscape for miles, from the minute we left the A30.
