  "This was the 5th time my husband & I holidayed at Ralegh's Cross Inn. The hotel is under new management but the same lovely staff are there. A few changes have been made, menu is slightly different & carvery is available on extra days. We find the food very good & the rooms homely & comfortable. Sti..."ll a little TLC is needed on decor but nothing major. The spacious landing now boasts comfy chairs & tables with fridge with complimentary cakes & cream plus an assortment of teas coffees & biscuits as well as games such as chess & scrabble. This is a very nice touch as no payment is required. Several couples were there & they had been very many times before. We hope to go again next year! " More >

  "We recently returned from a lovely weeks stay in Somerset and North Devon. Our first four nights with John and Jane at the Dunkery Beacon hotel were just what we needed. Relaxation in beautiful surroundings, great food and very caring hosts. We were greeted warmly on our arrival with a pot of tea a..."nd delicious orange seed cake made by John. Our room had the most amazing views over the moors and surrounding countryside. We loved the fact that we could do a variety of walks from the hotel, it was very nice to return after a days hiking to a warm welcome and a large glass of chilled wine. We even got to look at the stars with John through his telescope, will will never forget the clear views of Saturn and the Moon. If you happen to be guests when the evening meals are not served its really not a problem. There are many places to eat in Dunster but much closer in the next village of Timberscombe there is a local pub, "the Lion" which serves good homemade meals, however do try to eat ... " More >
