  "What an enjoyable stay! We were sorry that it was only for one night as this was one of the nicest properties we stayed in during a recent trip. The property is currently under renovation so initial impressions can be misleading. The newly furnished rooms have been beautifully decorated.. lovely dec..."or. We really appreciated the large, well lit bathroom with ample counter space, good lighting and those extra, thirsty towels. Close to Corning, easy access to I-86 and/ or secondary roads for exploration of wine country. The Hampton at Painted Post, near Corning, NY, is a good example of ‘the difference’. First, the Inn is undergoing extensive renovations. Although not complete, many of the rooms are finished, and we received one. It was tasteful and bright, and business types will appreciate the rollout desk, large workspace, and other features. They also added a mini-fridge and microwave oven. When the renovations are completed, this hotel will have an edge on others in the area, even though it looks the same on the outside. Second, staff makes a difference, and this Hampton Inn has a terrific group of genuinely friendly and helpful... " More >

  "We arrived much later than anticipated and it was so nice to be served some vegetables and dip, chips and salsa as well as cookies, juice and water. The reception staff member was excellent, polite and very helpful."
