I came across this funky rustic lodge in Sheffield, MA. This was a perfect location as people were coming from New Jersey, Philadelphia, Boston and Vermont. Nobody had to drive more than 5 hours to get there. I only had a month to plan this and the people at Race Brook were so wonderful and accommodating. They even opened up cabins that had previously been closed for the winter. They had a main lodge where breakfast was served and alcohol was available on a self serve basis.
