Avenue, and the rest of Waterloo can be related to Ridgway Avenue. The hotel is just off Ridgway Avenue, and thus, accessible to Waterloo and Cedar Falls. The swimming pool, indoors and easily available, is just fine, nice and warm. And it is especially friendly to handicapped users. It has an ADA-prescribed derrick, which allows a user to strap herself in at poolside and be lowered into the water. The process is reversed at the end of the swim.   "If your traveling down Hwy 20 East like I was, the signage in place by the Iowa Dept of Transportation is confusing as hell. It directs you off the highway but then... your pretty much on your own... Turn Right at the T intersection and you will be fine. I utilized the Hampton mobile app on my..." telephone... and it lead me right in, I was met by cheery desk gal who assigned me my room. Upon getting to my room I did not like the location (next to the elevator) so i went and asked for another and was given a different room no problems. My room is what I have come to expect at the Hamptons.. Clean, nice television and internet. adequate room for my CPAP machine and extra outlets on the night stand so i don't have to move the nightstand to reach behind it to plug it in.. Next morning perused the breakfast but skipped only because of time... did take a "to go " breakfast...chatted a bit with both the manager and asst manager.. Nice touch... Will definitely return! Amie the assistant manager she was awesome filling in for the regular manager. She was polite and courteous with a professional appearance. The breakfast was good she mad..."e several rounds to make sure there was plenty of food and the area was clean and tidy. She was a good multi-tasker and problem solver. The rooms were well cleaned and prepared and the rates were reasonable I will definitely stay again when in the area.
