  "Very pretty hotel, but underwhelming rooms"
  "This is a beautiful hotel, pretty decor and furnishings, and the staff is excellent. The rooms - superior doubles - were disappointingly small and we had to get quite aggressive to get our AmexFHR upgrade. The hotel kept insisting they were fully committed, but once we got the attention of their VP ..."of Rooms, an upgrade suddenly appeared. The room we were shown on the first floor was dark and lifeless, and its "patio" was a cramped little space next to a recycling or trash bin. None of the three rooms we were shown had a double sink. I've stayed at the Beverly Wilshire, the Four Seasons, and the Montage. This would be my least favorite of the four owing to its small rooms and very awkward car service arrangement. You request use of their house car with the concierge. Both times we asked for it we were told there would be surcharge for the distance we were going even though it was within two miles.   "My wife and I stayed a few nights in May 2013. Our suite was beautiful and the concierge had the flowers I ordered in the room on arrival. He told me the lily arrangement was large but boy he wasn't kidding! My wife absolutely loved them. The staff is fantastic and was more than willing to take care..." of anything we needed. The house Rolls Royce took us to and picked us up from dinner. The pool area was a joy. We highly recommend the hotel for a lovely stay anytime you are in the B Hills or LA area. " More >
