  "I have a huge group that stays at Days Inn during our BMX national in Bakersfield and I was kinda worried about what I read online in regards to this hotel. The manager (his name is MOe) assured me that the hotel is going through a major overhauling and it's under a new management. So to my surprise..." this hotel was clean with soft pillows and smart set up of how they did with the rooms..each has doors that lead to the swimming pool area..some rooms have direct access to the pool..kinda resort type thing..love it! the pool is clean although I don't blame them on Sunday(there was a wind storm out of nowhere). Overall, this hotel should be given 3 star rating. I'm cheap but this hotel surprises me of how clean and good the staff were and the managers.   "The access from the lobby to the rooms is problematic. You either have to walk around the outside of the building or walk through the bar to get to the lobby. Bakersfield in the summer makes walking around the outside unpleasant, and the noisy bar was not pleasant either...especially with luggage...."   "Spent a night here traveling from Las Vegas to Sequoia National Park. Interestingly the hotel was sold out to walk ups so do not plan on just stopping in to get a room. Cookies were provided at check in. Older three story hotel with interior hallways. Room was clean and tidy. Comfortable beds ..."and linens. Location is great. Right off the 58. There is a Black Angus across the street and Hungry Hunter nearby. There is also a 24 hour fitness with an indoor 25 yard lap swimming pool right across the street. I did my AM workout there before leaving. " More >
