  "As i write this review, I must make a confession: I'm a bit of a princess when it comes to accommodation...I have to admit staying at Lusia's has made me change my mind (just a little) : ) The rooms are average with old and basic amenities. Not 5 star stuff, but the food at their restaurant........."....i give it 10 stars!! Huge portions, lots of choices and excellect value for money. Our first night there, I ordered grilled fish and salad; the flavours were beautifully balanced. We had an entree of Taro chips and chicken strips- very very nice. For dessert we ordered Lusia's homemade banana cake with pineapple icecream...I was ready for seconds! Breakfast the next morning was outstanding. I ordered french toast, whilst we waited, we were given seasonal fruit, Koko Samoa with rice and their house coffee. It was sooo good- I was upset that I couldnt finish it! lol.   "We slept in open-sided beach fales, under bright stars and mosquito nets, simple food, great snorkelling and the surfers were busy all day on the wave immediately out front. Very basic, not for you if you wanted a full service hotel, but a great surf camp, hot water in the shared showers, cold wat..."er in the private bathrooms, take your pick. Price was Samoan Tala 100 per person including breakfast and diner, I didn't find that overly expensive. Beer water and sodas available pretty cheap. Earlier reviewer was right about currents on the reef - don't venture off the reef top on a falling tide if you are not a strong swimmer, but that's the best place for coral anyway. More fish and coral than I have seen elsewhere in Samoa, congratulations to Lee fro looking after the ref and picking up the Crown of Thorns! " More >

  "Wish we could have stayed longer!"
  "Thanks to the staff at the Savaiian Hotel for the warm hospitality and for making our stay comfortable and relaxing. My family of 19 enjoyed the pool, clean rooms and kareoke after dinner :) We took up seven rooms in total - all the air-conditioned rooms and one traditional fale. We had dinne..."r and breakfast there which was great overall, especially the koko laisa at breakfast. Yum! Unfortunately we only got to stay one night as we were on our way back to Apia the next day. The service was friendly and professional from start to finish. A special thanks to Lillian who organised our booking and made it a breeze to coordinate the rooms for our group. We didn't get a chance to use the kayaks or play volleyball, but we will stay longer next time and make full use of the facilities. I'd definitely recommend the Savaiian Hotel to anyone wanting clean and comfortable rooms with decent meals and great service! " More >
