  "My mother (85) and I visited Bakabung in late April/early May. We stayed at the Lodge for a 3 night dinner, bed and breakfast package, using the room for the physically disabled. All very comfortable and appropriate for folk with special needs, except for the bathroom door that didn't shut complet..."ely. The staff were freindly and very helpful, even supplying us with a wheelchair. To get to the dining room we had to use a most uneven pathway awful with a wheelchair. That being said, the food was scrumptious and plentiful and the dining room is very attractively decorated. Our game drives were excellent and the driver very knowledgeable and informative. We saw leopard, lion, elephant, rhino, hippo, various buck and a chameleon. Our one big disappointment was the cancellation of the boma braai due to a public holiday. All the staff is outstanding friendly, kind and was always trying to fulfill any of our wishes. The cabin was comfortable, very clean and luxury, th..."e view from the balcony was amazing, the food was delicious but the absolutely very best were the game drives. We saw so many animals. The safari guides Joy and Shawn always tried to trace exactly that type of animal we asked them to find for us. And in almost every case they found the desired animals. One day we asked them to find an elephant herd and to meet them as close as possible. The next day they brought us to a big herd of probably more than 50 animals which was crossing the road just in that moment we arrived.
