  "We were here from April 28th-May 4th. This was our third time visiting French Polynesia and first time to Tikehau and the Pearl. We look forward to returning to this beautiful atoll and this resort in the near future. The last review of this resort indicated that the dining staff were unfriendly. O..."ur experience was the exact opposite. I found them and the entire resort staff to be extremely friendly, inviting, engaging and warm in character. Perhaps my opinion differs from the last reviewers because I am perfectly capable of getting my own cup of coffee or hot coco if and when I want it. If I had grown children I would expect the same from them. It’s not like carafes are hidden in the back, they are in the breakfast buffet area easily assessable by anyone. We found the food to be very good and reasonably priced considering the remote location. We were there for six nights and were able to choose a different entre each evening.   "I hate to not give this place 5 stars. HATE IT. The place is paradise. The snorkeling under the bungalows is like nothing I've seen. We saw thousands of fish, black tip reef sharks, a couple octopuses, a sting ray, and probably a lot more that I can't remember! There was a very colorful fish (s..."ee my pictures) that followed us everywhere and would swim in and out of my legs in ankle deep water. So cool. The bungalows are awesome. It is just so private and so peaceful. My wife and I have been to some amazing beach destinations and this was tied for the top with the Maldives for true beauty and underwater life. We had just come from Bora Bora and wished we had never gone when we saw this place. It trumps it. The bad things though that I feel should be shared... Unless you're in one of the suites, there is no air conditioning. We had no idea and had book a premium overwater bungalow. They say that, with the winds, you don't need it.
