  "That title doesn't sound flattering, but I've been to 11 different towns in Alaska on business, and many, many of them would be "lousy" in the lower 48. That's life in Alaska - roughing it is expected, and part of the charm - it ISN'T fancy, but the rooms here are clean, they have kitchens, comfort..."able beds, very good internet connectivity, and pretty spacious rooms. They're very comfortable; I was pleasantly surprised, and I WOULD stay here again. There are several restaurants in immediate walking distance; honestly, in this small town, virtually everything is in walking distance, though... Lol... Seriously, this is a pretty above-average hotel for Alaska. The people are friendly and the heat works really well... The kitchens have no plates, bowls, utensils or cookware, so come prepared, if you want to use the kitchen. Only $95 per night was good value, too. One negative - the walls are pretty thin, you can hear conversations pretty clearly from the next room. " More >

  "The reluctant fisherman is a nice hotel for Cordova. My fiancé and I live and work at one of the local canneries during fishing season, so a night away from the cannery is always a treat! We had a comfy bed, a nice clean bathroom and shower, flat-screen tv, and deck overlooking the harbor right off ..."our room.
