  "My husband and I met friends and family at Grand Hotel for a lovely weekend getaway. The activities provided and pool area were awesome. We enjoyed the outside fire pits and outside bar area. We mostly drove into the quaint city of Fairhope for meals. The gumbo was delicious at the Grand Hotel ..."and we enjoyed the tea time at 4 PM. The service was excellent! The firing of the cannon at 4PM was an extra bonus...and .was VERY well done. As far as our room was concerned the room had a "musty" smell but was clean. We asked for a king size bed but none were available at our late check in of 9:30 PM. Will definitely return to the Marriott property at Point Clear, AL. " More >

The rooms were not up to my expectations because the carpet was dirty, coffee maker did not work and the bathroom fan did not work. The food was resort priced so we ate at a few mom and pop restaurants in the area. It was close en..."ough to town to go and get essentials. Mobile Bay water is kind of gross and I would not recommend swimming in it. The Hotel does a good job at making it look nice, but trust me...don't get in. " More >
