  "I came to KBC by accident, and what a brilliant accident! It's the vibe, hammocks in the trees, powder soft sand, such friendly staff and gorgeous sea only metres away that makes this place! and the reason i give it 5 stars. It was the start of the season, so some rooms/chalets still being made ..."ready after the end of the monsoon, so I got a cheap as chips room in the longhouse. My room was VERY unfancy, but just about ok for the price. Clean sheets and mattress was fine, but building itself is v shabby, mosquito net a ton of taped holes, and walls/floors could do with a bit of scrub. (The chalets looked in far better nick, but sadly they were full, and I just felt lucky to get any room at KBC). HOWEVER you could probably always find something wrong with anywhere you stay. The charm of this place is that it is just lovely, relaxed, stunning...but very affordable for backpackers like me.
