  "The Tamarind Guesthouse was one of my absolute favorite places to stay in Thailand. Not only is the location great (right by some major ruines) and the bungalow style home was unique and fun (bathroom had a more "open air" feel) but the owners were Fantastic! We were there during the Songkran (Thai ..."new year) and they invited us to join them in their trucks to enjoy the water fight festivities with the locals. We had a blast! They took care of every detail! April being an extremely hot time of the year, I was impressed with their wonderful A/C! They were the perfect hosts (spoke enough english to understand) and became instant friends. If you are looking for posh- don't come here. If you want a delightful cultural experience...than this is the place for you! " More >
