We went during the hot season and it was still bearable as it gets quite chilly at night and in the afternoons the room is really breezy. The gem of the room however is definitely the balcony where you can sit and relax and enjoy inle lake view with the mountains as a backdrop. However I do cautioned that in the evenings there are a lot of bugs but as there is net screens that cover all the windows and doors. You are quite protected. There isn't much to do during night times at GIC 2 and most people that stay here will have dinner at the restaurant at GIC 2 itself. The road to the hotel was pitch dark with no lights, but hotel staff was waiting for us at the nearby corner to guide to the hotel. The hotel has an own gate at the back entrance. The hotel is more like a stilt village just like nearby real over-water village. The facility and amenity were all good, comes w/all necessary bath amenities, coffee/tea making facility, two kinds of sandals and an electric mosquito repellent. All beyond my expectations. The restaurant was already closed when we arrived, but they left a door open just for us (two of us) and served quick but very good dinner.
