  "We stayed two nights in this hotel eary april 2013. Short, easy walk from Umeda station which was nice as we arrived by train from Kyoto. Hotel is situated in a quiet area but close enough to restaurants and shops. We did not have breakfast here, but a nice Starbucks is near the hotel. There is no ..."bar, but we did not miss that. The room at the 13th floor was clean, not that big but that is normal in Japan. Bathroom modern and clean. Air conditioning worked average; you can open the window but even on the 13th floor we could hear some noise the trains from the station. Overall a good choice for exploring Osaka. " More >

There were a number of nice touches, such as a Nespresso machine in the room, but we did have one complaint which was the lack of free wifi. Normally, it wouldn't bother us too much but every other hotel we stayed in during our trip did provide free wifi, at least in lobby areas, and we were surprised that this was the case at The St Regis. Other reviewers are right when they say that it's not really near much but it is right above a metro station which is very easy to use, or the hotel can easily arrange taxis for you.
