The playground is really quite big with a lot of slides and swings and it looks like they'll have a swimming pool soon. They don't have a shop for snacks or coffee but if you bring all your own food, like we did then no worries. Also bare in mind like all these places you can add extra, very thin mattresses, to all accommodation really cheaply it was 5rials each for the 2 mattresses we added to our tent. Also i think this place is usually much quieter, twice at the Shams resort we had idiots playing bad music, really loud till late. We have a young fella so we like the quiet now. " More >

  "An amazing location with unspoilt views of the mountain tops and deep rugged gorges. The variety of stones making up the mountain range are a geologists dream with some dating back to millions of years. We found the staff very friendly and helpful it was nice to be welcomed in the Arabian tradition ..."being offered a local date and cup of coffee. Our upstairs room was very comfortable with good facilities with added advantage of a large terrace to admire the views also to enjoy a drink before dinner.The Hotel is dry but you can bring your own alcohol and glass's will be provided. The down side was that the dinner menu is limited and not very good quality. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice and could be taken on the terrace to enjoy the cool breeze and cooler temperature before the sun got fully up.The whole plateau is such an interesting place and time should be made to explore.   "We stayed here for a night. We were able to set up a tent and enjoy the atmosphere which is very different from Abu Dhabi. The staff was very helpful and answered any question we had. There are limited facilities if you don't stay in lodging but I/we expected that. All in all the only complaint we a..."ll had were the other guests they were very loud and up until the early morning...so to enjoy outdoor quite we had to trek it someplace else. I would definitely recommend this place to people that want to get outside with comforts and to kind of feel like your roughing it, but if you want the peace you need some place else. " More >
