  "We stayed at Banyan Tree, Bintan for two nights in a pool villa. A 45 minutes ferry ride from Singapore brought us to Bintan. Its visa on arrival and it took about 30 minutes to leave the ferry terminal. The island of Bintan is till 90% forest. Personally, I would wish for a little bit more choice in food selection. The rooms, walkways, gardens were very well maintained. All the staff were very polite and cheerful. The buggy staff are well informed and courteous. The pool near the beach was clean. The beach is also well maintained. The tide is calm and there is not much wave action.   "We stayed for 4 nights in a villa on the rocks. This was our second stay, first one was 4 years ago. Outside area of Villa was renewed, including a bigger plunge pool and new flooring. Inside, the living room and bathroom got some new paint, but still show some signs of deterioration. The whole res..."ort is still in the process of renovation, during our sta the Treetops restaurant as well as the adjacent pool were closed for renewal. Once completed, the oceanside pool area will be refurbished ( at least the management told us). After all is completed, i think it will be back at the quality it had 4 years ago. Breakfast was served in the Cove Restaurant ( due to closure of TreeTops), choices were ok-ish, but not 5 Star level. Up to this point, i would rate it as 4 Points with tripadvisor.
