  "Pros: Clean, excellent location (on a lovely promenade and near the train station), extremely fast room service, nice and pleasant staff, good breakfast. Cons: In my bathroom, when I took a bath and let the water drain, my floor got swamped. There was a drain on the floor that makes me think ..."this happened frequently, but perhaps this was just my room. It wasn't a major problem, just slightly annoying. Also, to get to my room from the elevator, I had to go down a flight of stairs, up a flight, and then down a flight again. Personally, this didn't bother me, but I imagine if you're older or something it might, so be sure to specify that you get a handicapped accessible room or you risk going up and down a couple of stairs. Overall, though, it was a nice hotel, and I got it for a very good price, so I was pleased with the experience. " More >

  "We had a 3 night stay, check in super efficient - but not particularly friendly. 2 lifts up to the floors and are quite small,(3 or 4 people at most without luggage) but there is a lovely wide,sweeping staircase instead. Lobby very grand, pictures of famous people who have stayed fill the wall - al..."though i'd only heard of Orson welles. Room very spacious with high ceilings and grand curtains, stocked mini bar, flat screen T.V with many English channels, very well stocked toiletries in the bathroom, hair dryer. i didn't sleep well as the bed was too soft for me and gave me back ache, but that is personal preference though. Housekeeping do a superb job cleaning the room and yet you never see them. The hotel is spotless, very very clean. Room did not have a kettle/coffee machine or an iron though. Hotel has free wifi, and fast too. Found breakfast slightly dissapointing though, especially after reading other peoples good reviews about it, the hots were not topped up and looked dry an... And definitely get the breakfast. It's a bit pricey but you can order off a menu and enjoy a really well stocked buffet! Also nice walking distance to town. And lovely parks all around.
