If you are a runner, there are beautiful routes and if you want to read or do nothing at all -- you have a beautiful place for that, too.   "We stayed here from 23rd to 28th April 2013. We had driven from Santiago and got lost when we arrived in Pucon so phoned the owner, Antonio, for directions which he gave and was very helpful. Our Spanish isn't great and he spoke perfect English. When we arrived, in the dark, we were greeted by a lo..."vely woman who made us feel very welcome and showed us to our lodge which was perfect especially after a long day on the road. Think we may have been upgraded to a bigger lodge as we were the only guests there, it being off season. It was warm, log stove burning away, and very comfortable with everything we needed for our stay including organic veg from the garden and poly tunnel. The husband, Jose, introduced himself the following morning. They were both very friendly and helpful despite the language barrier.   "This is one of the nicest ski resort in south of Chile. The hotel is immersed in a native trees' forest (as are the lower ski slopes) and it is located just at the base of the slopes so you can really ski in - ski out. The building is a two levels structure made entirely of wood. The decoration is s..."imple and the rooms are comfortable though far from luxurious. You get just enough space for stuffing your luggage and sleeping. They are clean and the bathroom has permanent hot water. There is a nice bar for enjoying the evening and the buffet breakfast is fine. The buffet restaurant is quite good which is important as there is no other place around to eat out. In general, it is a perfect secluded place to enjoy a ski week with your family. During the winter season, the ski slopes are all for you from Monday to Friday, but on weekends, there are hundreds of families coming from Osorno and other nearby cities.
