  "Just returned from a four night stay at Long Island resort. Was not sure what to expect after reading reviews but I am happy to say we had a fantastic time at this resort. Our beachfront room was very modern, clean and comfortable. The room was only metres away from happy bay and the view was fab..."ulous. Room was serviced each day with fresh supplies of towels, beds made and bathrooms cleaned. Food from the pool bar was fresh, very tasty and a great price considering the island location. Happy hour is every day at 4pm with some great prices on drinks. The resort store sells sandwiches, wraps, pies, coffee and fresh fruit and is open 8am till 1pm. You can eat at the restaurant for a fixed price of $38 pp for dinner. We had the buffet breakfast each morning which was included in our room price. The buffet was adequate but nothing special. When reception realised we were travelling with another friend, they offered to move us to closer rooms. All round the sta..."ff went beyond the expectations. We ate at the pool bar during our stay because its such a nice spot right on the beach. The bar staff were fantastic, treating us like long lost locals - we felt right at home and made it that bit more relaxing. We're really glad we chose Long Island for our holiday and we will definitely be back. Our only minor improvement could be to upgrade the beds, which were a bit outdated. But the rooms were otherwise great with lovely view (right in the beach) and easy going house keeping staff who were also very friendly and helpful. " More >
