(They were pulling cable for a webcam while I was there, so check the hotel website for that.) Rooms are small yet very sufficient. Each has AC, ceiling fan, good privacy and plenty of hot water. However, the limited English capacity of the staff may be a problem for you and, if you want to watch TV (Why would you with all of the nightlife in the area?!), the cable stations broadcast primarily in Espanol. Now 20 years later it retains those qualities but has grown into a hotel that covers an entire city block. Its location is great, because it's in the quiet, beautiful La Canada neighborhood, away from traffic noise and major streets, but still a 3 minute walk into the middle of town.
