  "Fantastic location, friendly welcoming staff, great place to stay in Kristiansand! We stayed two nights, and found the hotel to be clean and comfortable, with an excellent power shower in the bathroom. The location couldn't be better, right across the road from the excellent Kick Cafe!"

However, there is still room for improvement and here are our reasons for not giving Hotel Ernst a 5 star rating. When booking on the phone, we we..."re informed that the suite would accomodate two extra beds for the kids. What we got instead was a rather narrow sofabed. The kids are growing older and bigger and the sofabed showed to be a bit tight. That was also the reason why we had booked the suite and not the family room, because the thought of two extra beds (and not the bunkbed in the family room) would better accomodate our family. We would also have preferred a bigger double bed. I guess the one in room 315 is like 150 cm wide, and there was more than enough room for a wider bed.   "I was here in this hotel with my wife and 2 year old son. The hotel location is perfect, can't get anything more than this. Parking is on the 5th floor with 150 noks charge for 1 night stay. The parking has an access to the hotel rooms. I will advise to first go the hotel lobby, take the room-elevat..."or activation cards, parking permit, internet access code (which changes daily) and then go to the parking lot. Coffee-tea is free in the reception lobby, not available in the room. Room has 2 bunk beds folded inside the wall. Perfect for a family of 4 (2 kids more than 3 years).Will not advise to place a small young one on the bunk bed as lowest one is at a height of half a feet from the ground.Else, everything prefect..restaurants, pubs,city centre,ferry, train and buses..within 5 minutes walk.
