It's the second time I've stayed here on a stopover, experiencing its smaller and its more spacious (with balcony) rooms, and both times I found the Schaanerhof relaxing, comfortable and attractive. Notable is its restaurant, using quality local produce both for breakfast and at dinner and, I assume, lunch too. It has a very good wine list with not only some interesting Swiss and Liechtenstein whites, but a number of excellent clarets (eg Leoville Barton) at pretty competitive prices for what is one of the world's more expensive countries. There are also "wellness" facilities in the basement - sauna, etc. Minor quibbles: the upstairs hall carpets could do with a refresher, an... " More >

  "I was at this hostel in 2011, October. We needed a place to stay during a quick trip to Vaduz. We booked a two double room, but when we arrived the lady told us if we cared if we were moved to a camarate with six beds all for us. We didnt car, since we were not a couple and had siz beds all for us! ..."The bathroom was so clean! I think i've been in hotels with the bathroom so less clean than that! The bds were also so clean, everything was so good. The breakfast was also increadible good, with lots of varieaty. In summary we enjoyed so much this hotel and if i pretend to go back to vaduz i'll be at this hostel, without a doubt! Simpaty, location and cleanliness at the best! Thank you so much! " More >

  "A characterful institution"
  "Our memory goes back a few years, when we celebrated a New Year in this place. It was very tranquil and low-key, and we had a lavish game dinner with champagne to end it. At midnight everyone seemed to go to sleep, so we followed suit. We had a fine experience all in all."
