Valletta is just 30 minutes by bus and we also managed to visit Hagar Qim and Marsaxlokk with rather longer bus journeys. The accomodation was very clean and excellently equipped, although we didn't test out much of it as we didn't actually cook any meals during our brief stay, nor did we need to use the air-conditioning. The flat is spread over 3 floors, plus a roof terrace, and the staircases are a little narrow and steep, so this would not be good for people with mobility issues or with small children. Alex, the owner, went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We were collected on our arrival at the airport from his father, then were shown round the lovely, little 4 storey house by Alex, and it was all spotless and clean, stone tiles on the floor, all freshly painted white, thick wooden stairs with metal railings, lovely modern toilet and en suite shower room, delightful little bedroom with wooden white shutters opening out onto a little balcony with a pleasant view, not to mention downstairs a stylish kitchen and up another slim flight of stairs to the roof terrace, to enjoy 360 degree panoramic views of Malta.
