  "Sirmione is an old town in which there are no cars allowed, unless you have a hotel in the area or you are a taxi. This hotel will call a taxi directly to the hotel for you if you need it. If you are ok to walk about 10 minutes, you can go to the taxi stand that is just outside the old town walls. T..."here is also a ferry that comes directly from Desenzano to Sirmione and it is a great way to see the place. So, the hotel. The staff are friendly, though a lot of them do not speak amazing English. Either way, they will help you as much as they can. The only thing I would recommend is to NOT have your room as 301, 302, 303. They are directly under the kitchen and there is absolutely no insulation in the ceiling to protect the noise. The other rooms on this floor may also be an issue, only due to chair movement, but definitely the ones under the kitchen are a nightmare. I would request another room. Breakfast is great.   "Romantic, elegant, gorgeous place with its quiet and cozy atmosphere. The B&B is located in heart of Sirmione on a little square near the harbour. The entrance to this B&B is right between 2 nice restaurants, but that's tranquil at night. All numbers of this hotel are dedicated to various woman-lege..."nds - Merilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Marlene Dietrich and so on. In our number (Merilyn) we found beautiful book about this actress - it was very interesting to read it. The design of our number was perfect, every detail was well thought-out. The room was spacious and clean, decorated in pleasant colours, full of light. The bathroom was big and had a quite big dormer-window. All furniture was new and very comfortable. Our room had a balcony with little table and two chaires. The proprietess is nice amiable lady, she recommended us very good restaurant in the city and gave a special visiting card thet helped us to obtain a discont there. We liked everything. " More >

  "This hotel is located on the outskirts of Sirmione and is a steady 35 minute walk to the centre. It is located in a quiet area. The rooms are on the small side but are perfectly adequate. Television (no english speaking channels) Hair dryer and air conditioning (only switched on in the main season)...."Plenty of wardrobe space and beds were comfortable. The bathroom is modern with just a shower cubicle but no bath which suited us. Towels were changed daily and we thought the standard of cleaning was high.The restaurant was wonderful with quality food and tremendous service. If we were picking the best point of the hotel it would be the food. 4 choices for each course. Also there was free Wi Fi in the lounge/bar area. The niggles we were talking about was the reception which seemed understaffed and they wre more often than not unable to answer any questions about anything except the hotel.
