However, if you weren't lucky enough to occupy one of the six weekend parking places for the eight rooms, you would have to find somewhere and pay extra, which in Ambleside isn't cheap. The booking did say there was no breakfast so I knew there wasn't but we ate in two different places for breakfast. We used Daisys Café on Saturday which was nearly £12 (very good). We used Apple Pie Bakery on Sunday morning and for two average sized cooked breakfasts and two teas, it was above £14 (even with the 10% discount for staying at Apple Pie Rooms).   "Great location for walking."
  "Stayed 2 nights here to explore some of the walking routes. Excellent B&B for a home base, close to shops, pubs, and the start of the Fairfield Horseshoe walk. We came back from a day out, quite wet. Our boots were looked after and were dried by the next day. Definitely would stay here again."

  "After a two night stay at Nanny Brow, the only downside was that we hadn't booked for a week. The room was very comfortable, clean and had a wonderful view. All staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend."
