I was a bit nervous from reading other reviews, but I have to say we loved our stay here. The hotel is under some renovations and our rooms we very tastefully done and comfortable, I asked f..."or a ground floor facing the courtyard, which we got, (they also booked our rooms beside each other, another nice surprise as I had forgot to ask for this) we had a very nice table and chairs, there are also screened in gazebos available, (nice touch) which we didn't use as the nights were not warm enough, I admit the outside area needs some upkeep but still enjoyable. We found everyone we dealt with very friendly. We did arrive early on the friday and thought we may not be able to get our rooms, but they were more than happy to get us settled.   "We stayed one night at this hotel while attending a family function. The hotel is situated next to a car dealership on one side and a corn field on the other and across the street from the main mall in Waterloo. It is otherwise a commercial area about a quarter mile from a Rt. 85 exit. (Not a pleasa..."nt area in which to take a morning walk.) We were very pleased that the hotel was able to accommodate our request to get into our room at noon rather than the usual 3 pm check-in. The front desk personnel were very pleasant and efficient. Our room was on the ground level of the two-story section on the sunny side that overlooked the parking area. The queen beds were very comfortable and the linens a good quality. The hotel has WiFi throughout. The air conditioning unit was very quiet and efficient. We had a cabinet with a microwave and refrigerator, coffee maker, real stone-ware cups, a chest with a TV, and a small table with two chairs. The room lacked a place to put your luggage (an extend...
