  "We have stayed here many times over the years. We love the location of this place. It is a short walk into town. We always enjoy the pool here and get a kick out of feeding the iguana's that live on the island in the middle of the pool. They do a great job maintaining the grounds around the resort...". They are in the progress of renovating some of the rooms. The first week here we had a beautiful two bedroom unit with a large balcony, loved that room. The second week we had a one bedroom unit which we normally get. Maid service was great. We used the kitchen for making breakfast each morning. Yes the pots and pans could be better, but no big deal.   "Truly a "Welcome Home" feel to our resort"
  "This was our first getaway for my wife and I and we had a blast!! Yes this is a resort of the more older folks but a younger couple coming to relax and enjoy the beautiful areas of Puerto Vallarta you cannot complain. We had left our 3 kids behind for the first time to finally have just "us" time ..."and all the staff here made us feel so welcome and at home. The resort kept it's traditional Mexican feel to the rooms not like some of the other bigger cookie cutter resorts in the area. I did wish though that they upgraded the TV's in the room to flat screens but that was no biggie, hopefully when we come back this will be done. The staff was superb!! From the time we arrive to the time we left, we were sad leaving as they made us feel like family here. Salvador at the door, Yuri at the desk, Rosy and Ancy with the welcoming team, Pablo with the restaurants and bar, Erick with security and the housekeeping staff.   "We stayed one week at the Velas Vallarta. It is a small but lovey resort. We have stayed there before. Request a upper floor so you can have an ocean view from your balancy. The rooms are fine and large; however the living room area sofa leaves something to be desired. Since we traded through R..."CI we had to buy the all-inclusive. It is expensive, but does include all food and drink. We ate most of our meals at the Restaurant Andrea. A special treat was watching the peacocks. The staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't do the timeshare but I assume it was like other long timeshare presentations. We would return again. " More >
