Two upstairs units share a screen porch and have identical layouts (only different beds); downstairs unit is an open studio layout. The units a..."re thoughtfully stocked with everything to make you comfortable; kitchens have all the basics. We stayed in 1-L with a King bed; it was extremely comfortable. Having access to boats/kayaks was great. This beach is sugary soft sand; great for walks and hunting for shells and the water is various shades of bottle glass green and turquoise. Picturesque sunrises and sunsets. Abundant wildlife, including sea turtles, manta and sting rays, and many types of fish. We harvested conch and made conch salad with our host, and caught several types of fish for eating. Bonefishing is great, particularly down the beach in Cherokee Cove.   "Sad Dollar Cove Cottages are very peaceful and relaxing, great place to go to rejuvenate and unwind! Also a great place to use as a base for fishing. Premier Bone fish fishing and the deep sea fishing is terrific! I prefer deep sea fishing and in 4 half day trips we caught ; grouper, coni, mackera..."l, trigger fish, dolphin( mahi mahi) and grunt. We saw black fin tuna but couldn't hook up and enjoyed watching a pod of dolphin (flippers) playing next to the boat,must have been 30 of them! My wife isn't a fisher person so she enjoyed the beach and catch and release shelling! Lots of live star fish and of course sand dollars, also conch and she was able to bring home a beautiful conch shell. Chad the owner is a really neat and friendly guy! He will help in anyway he can and prides himself in his knowledge of the area and it's history!
