  "I recently had occasion to stay at the Newstead Belmont Hills while in Bermuda on business. The hotel is small, but comfortable, with a beautiful disappearing edge swimming pool and convenient bar near the pool. The room was a suite, with a fully equipped kitchen, ample living room, huge bathroo..."m and very comfortable bedroom. The suite also had two small furnished patios off the living room and bedroom, respectively. The room was clean and very well-appointed: think comfortable and elegant in a spare, modern way, not lavish. The suite offered a spectacular view of Hamilton and front street across Hamilton Harbor, and access to Hamilton was very conveient by ferry during its working hours. The staff were overall quite friendly and helpful. Case in point: I had forgotten some toiletries, which unfortunately the hotel did not stock; and so I got directions from the front desk staff to walk to a grocery store nearby.   "My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in May. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and for the price ($310/night on Jetsetter) it was a very good deal for Bermuda. Positives 1. We were upgraded from a studio to a 1 bedroom suite which was quite large (around 1000 sq ft plus a large balcony w..."ith dining table). The quality of the finishes was very good: comfortable furniture, hardwood floors, 2 flat screen TVs, high-end patio furniture (I can't stand flimsy plastic patio furniture), granite in the kitchen and bathrooms etc. The view was fabulous. 2. The staff were very friendly and helpful. 3. The hotel was a 15 minute ($15) cab ride to Hamilton. However, most of the time you could take the complimentary water taxi the hotel offered. This was a relatively convenient location compared to other hotels we visited. 4. There was a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. Negatives: 1.
