  "My wife and I did a circle tour of National Parks in late April 2013. We were fortunate in encountering only fine weather and reasonably-sized crowds at all the sites. We went to Zion (Zion Lodge), Bryce (Best Western), Arches (Sunflower Hill), Monument Valley (The View), Grand Canyon (Maswik Lodg..."e) and Hoover Dam (Silverton Hotel Las Vegas). I have comments on each park included in the hotel comment. As others suggest, try to get the very useful park newspaper/guide as soon as you enter the park. Also avoid buying gas near the parks (we paid $1 over the going rate at the Texaco in Tusayan outside the Grand Canyon). Zion Lodge is extremely well-situated in the middle of the park allowing you easy access to shuttle buses to appreciate sunrise and sunset views and to enjoy quieter times when the other tourists are not around.   "One Fantastic Hotel"
  "We booked a king suite at the Zion Lodge and it was a fantastic room. Two rooms, one with the king size bed, a chest of drawers and a writing desk and another room with couch, small dining table, big TV on the wall, refrigerator, microwave and a comfortable chair. The room had two sinks, one on ei..."ther side of the bathroom which connected to both rooms. There was also a very nice balcony with two comfortable chairs and a small table and the view of the red cliff behind the building was great. The Lodge is centrally located in the park and includes a nice restaurant for formal dining, the Red Rock Grille and a snack bar for casual food ranging from hamburgers and sandwiches to cold drinks and soft serve ice cream. All the food was good and not too expensive, especially when compared to the prices in the town of Springdale, which was no bargain. Everything in the room worked and was in great shape.
