  "We stayed at the RANCH for 1 night while visiting DV national park. The Ranch and the Inn are two separate facilities (about a mile apart), operated by the same company. It's a great place to retire to after a long day of driving, walking, photography. This is not The Four Seasons. Everyone was very nice, the room was clean an quiet and the 49er restaurant was surprisingly good for dinner. The Ranch is right next to the National Park Service visitor center which is very convenient. There's also a gas station and market next door. That might sound like nothing special, but when you get here you'll see just how remote Death Valley is. Having these things so close to the hotel is a real comfort.   "I'll admit it, although Death Valley was always on our National Park bucket list, I was expecting nothing from the Furnace Creek. Oh Inn AND Resort, how fancy. I've holidayed all over the world and the idea of +40 degree heat was not the attraction it might seem. Stetson hats off to the fellas ..."and gals of Furnace Creek. Firstly it's green being fed by natural springs. It's well laid out, our cabin was clean, well air conditioned, had a fridge (THANK YOU!) and had a good working shower. There is a great pool and even a museum. We didn't try the buffet restaurant but did have several beers and a burger in the saloon and breakfast in the cafe. Seeing as they are all served by the same kitchen the food must be as good throughout the whole complex. Made the extreme heat bearable and I actually could have stayed two nights instead of the one.
