Food in the hotel caters for everyone, it may be a little repetitive after a while but it's very good. The pool area is busy, with little ones running everywhere intermingled with big ones carrying a beer or two.... Accidents happen, but generally it's pretty well run, the lifeguards do a good job. It's windy, so either moan its windy or enjoy what appears to be a tan enhancing asset!! The spa is excellent for a nice treat. The beach is small, no mass expanse of sand and the sea is choppy, or exciting with waves to jump over depending whether you are cup half full or not.... It's noisy. The biggest challenge is not the hotel or its wonderful staff, but at times your fellow holiday... " More >

  "Having just returned from the orquidea on mon and been slightly scared due to some reviews I feel in need to write my own review. Yes the Orquidea could do with a facelift but when it's a 12 month season it's hard to achieve. Importantly it is clean and the cleaning staff are cheerful and good at ..."their job. The restaurant is excellent the selection can not be faulted from normal diets to specialist diet requirements, everything is covered and to a good standard. The pools are clean and yes the standard towel on sun bed at silly o'clock but as with all pools there are only so many front rows and most parents want those to safely watch their kids. The life guard is amazing he does not miss a thing despite 3 pools. Yes it can get windy but that's the nature of that part of the island. The entertainment reps are very good and dedicated though they did seemed to have their favourites that were chosen for everything. My kids loved T time live though for an adult it can get repetitive ... " More >

  "Fantastic family holiday however a few too many rude swedish people"
  "We have just returned from a week holiday at this resort. The holiday was better than I ever expected. The entertainment team was fantastic, put on some great shows, and made sure both children and adults had fun. The only problem of the holiday was that awful beattles tribute act that come on. All ..."they done was try and sell their cds, well all I can say is they cleared the whole of the entertainment room. The weather was beautiful but very windy up until lunchtime, it was bearable and eased the kids into the heat. With this wind I warn people not to have a bed near the kids slide area as you get absolutely soaked with cold water. You will see if you do. Also there was quite a few rude ignorant swedish families who got to us a bit especially making a spectical of themselves, going to throw buckets of water over innocent people sunbathing quietly.
