  "This is our second stay at this splendid hotel. Our accommodation consisted of a self catering apartment on the fifth floor and faced the harbour. We could not find fault with anything at all. The rooms are clean, spacious and the staff are always helpful, courteous and very professional. The ..."hotel facilities are good. There are two shops that provide coffee, cakes and newspapers. Local restaurants provide excellent value for money meals and there are local shops to provide anything else such as milk, bread and tea bags for self catering. Local buses provide easy access to St Juliana and the beaches. Although Sliema itself provides really nice shops to keep everyone happy. The local Marks & Spencer's has a Fab coffee shop and overlooks the harbour and ferries. The water taxis can drop you over to Valletta easily and you can do all the tourist trips and sightsee The Strand hotel is ideally located to provide an extremely relaxing holiday.   "We have just returned from the Bayview apartments in Sliema. We originally went there 5 ayears ago and although the apartment was good there were a lot of Italian students in the same block and they made our holiday an absolute misery with their noise and misbehavior. This time we booked a one b..."edroom apartment and I had especially requested a nice terrace as we like to sit out of an evening to enjoy the sunset and have a glass of wine. We arrived and were shown to a lovely apartment at the back of the Bayview (actually preferable as it's quieter!) we got our beautiful terrace and a huge apartment with a washing machine in the bathroom. The reviews on tripadvisor and another website were pretty awful, and they mentioned frequently the bad customer service at the reception. I arrived expecting the worst and could not have been more surprised, the staff were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful (especially Paul) All in all, I think the Bayview has taken on board the bad ...
