The nearest train station is a 5 - 10 minute walk away and connects into Ikebukuro, which is a big station and an ideal starting point for travel throughout Tokyo. There are a number of little n'hood shops, convenience stores and restaurants on the walk to the closest station, as well as a supermarket, so you can pick up anything you might need easily. This station can be reached using the Yamanote line, which can be used free of charge if you have a JR rail pass. Ikebukero is a busy area with many traditional restaurants (Izakaya, Noodle bars) an..."d also KFC and hamburger bars. The hotel lobby is big and shiny, with marble and flowers. The staff speaks English, and helped with various requests such as finding an ATM (which actually is a one minute walk from the hotel in the big warehouse across the street). Our room was a bit small, which is common in Japan. It has a TV with some international channels and a small sofa. Bed was not too hard, so very comfortable (we do not like hard beds). The room and bathroom were very clean, which is also common is Japan. The small bathroom has a bath where you can shower in, and all amenities are present: shower cap, toothbrush, comb, shaving knife and cream, hairdryer, shower gel, shampoo, condit... " More >

  "We Loved our stay here. Our room on 19th floor was a bit small but this is Tokyo, the views were just mind-blowing, Fantastic! Room was Very clean although Mrs H said the carpet could do with a clean. Bed comfy enough, nice chaise lounge, empty fridge that worked fine. Auto heated mirror when the sh..."ower is on to clear a space for you convenience, but then again, the Japanese have convenience down to a fine art! We asked for & were given an adaptor (free) for our whole stay, thanks. Staff were brilliant but the Japanese are so friendly and nice anyway. The Location for us was PERFECT. A little less touristy but more relaxed, friendly and inviting and has everything you would need. We were Very happy to end up having dinner in the area every evening, half the price of more central Tokyo with at least if not more verity on offer and simply Wonderful hospitality! Hotel lays on a bus transfer to Airport which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours and was about a third of prices on offer on an internet... " More >
