At first I could not quite get over the price of this place, but you are really paying for the secluded location and privacy.  Hard to comprehend for a person like myself from Hong Kong the size of this place except that at 6000 acres, this place is 35x the size of Ocean Park in HK, 1 of our largest amusement... This place is expensive but considering the property is on 6,000 hectares, the staff to guest ratio is astonishing, the food is lovely and the buildings and art is amazing; you will quickly decide that it is worth the money. More

Simpy a spectacular place, especially if you are a golfer. The food and service are truly outstanding. Don't miss the Gannett tour. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the views are amazing. If you consider this a golf resort then it could be the top such tort in the world, even better than the like of Pebble Beach. The only... More

I have to agree with the earlier review that this lodge is not value for money. We stayed at The Farm for 4 nights. Having stayed at some of the best hotels in the world, in light of the price of this lodge we were expecting that the service would at least match (if not surpass) our previous experiences. We... We were blown away with all aspects of our stay at Cape Kidnappers. The staff were friendly and attentive. We were warmly welcomed at the entrance and were immediately taken for a tour around the complex. The food was outstanding. The night we stayed there, a highly acclaimed chef from Australia was flown in to cook for the evening -... More

What a stunning property in a privileged location. An oasis with easy access to some of the best wine and wineries in the world, a demanding but beautiful golf course, lovely walks from the property from a few minutes to a full day past sheep-strewn hills, plunging cliffs, and a rare gannet colony. And the rooms! In a month long... More

My husband and I have stayed in some magnificent properties around the World, but, for us, the allure of the Farm at Cape Kidnappers does it for us every time. Splendid views, meticulous service, divine food, heavenly Spa treatments, world class events ...the list just goes on. Why even consider travelling abroad when Heaven is right on our doorstep right... More

My husband and I were in desperate need of a good break and I wanted him to be able to do something that he enjoys - golfing! I am not a golfer myself, but I was attracted to Cape Kidnappers and Kauri Cliffs for the stylish look of the two properties - I love my luxury travel and good wine/food,... More

We visited in March 2010, and recently our family agreed upon if we had one meal left on earth, we would want to revisit The Farm at Cape Kidnappers. Every meal was amazing--truly a "foodie's" Heaven. My daughter and I did a kiwi walk with a conservationist and we found to kiwi birds, which we held (most NZ'ers have never... More

When we showed a picture taken from our balcony at The Farm at Cape Kidnappers to friends and family, they all thought it was a postcard. The beauty of the farm landscape as it cascades to the sea is magnificent. This is just the beginning of one's experience - the natural beauty that surrounds you. As we drove up the... More
