We've just returned from spending 5 nights at the charming Posada Azul Marino and truly enjoyed our stay with them. I think it's fair to start with some basic notes regarding the location: Jose Ignacio is about 40mins drive from the busy partying areas of Punta del Este but we thought that was definetely a plus. We were on honeymoon... More

We had the pleasure of staying at Azul Marino 3 nights in November and really enjoyed our stay. The posada is bigger than I anticipated: I went in expecting a home converted into an inn, and instead found a beautifully designed boutique hotel. The rooms were spacious, very clean, with modern/rustic feel and decor. I would definitively recommend staying upstairs... More

reading some of the other reviews it seems like some people don't know what to expect in terms of the location. Jose Ignacio and the surrounding area is amazing fun for New Year and early January if you know people and can be invited to the parties. If you want nightclubs and busy bars, go to La Barra. After early... More

My wife and I decided to book azul based on adds we read over the internet. Once we arrived, reality set in. This was a glorified bed and breakfast in the middle of nowhere with and owner whose primary objective was to rip you off. We need cash and discovered the ATM was a 20 minute drive away. The only... Great hotel I have stayed there twice now and each time it has been fantastically relaxing and a great base from which to move around. The rooms are cool, in both senses, the place is so peaceful and the couple who own it are great. Very hospitable and helpful. Breakfast is excellent and healthy, if you want something different ask,... More

We were here for 4 nights and it was very nice. It is quiet and the grounds are lovely with a view of the sea over the trees. There is no a/c but we did not need it as the nights were cool and there was a fan in the room. We were happy to be away from the hub... More

I've stayed at Azul Marino twice over the past couple of years. Its a beautiful place. The owners and staff are very helpful. There's complete flexibility as to when you have breakfast (which is nice if you've had a late one the night before), lots of things like that make you feel very at home and relaxed. The location is... More

We stayed in this posada because neighbour Posada Arenas de José Ignacio was full. We thought Azul Marino was going to be better because is 150.00usd more expensive, and the truth is that Posada Arenas was better (ie: A/C, bigger rooms, WI-FI in all areas, & bigger swiming pool ) For americans and other tourists I recommed to rent a... Having frequented Jose Ignacio for over a decade (I rent a house there every summer), I have to say that as a Bread and Breakfast this place is highly recommendable. I stayed there almost a week this summer after I had to turn in my rented house and I was just not ready to leave the beach yet. Azul Marino... More

This is a wonderful romantic get away, if that's your goal I'd recommend staying in this cozy place. Our upstairs room had a large deck, sliding glass doors that allowed an amazing view of the ocean from bed and a shower with a view of the ocean. It also had air conditioning. I am quite sure a downstairs room would... More
