this is a very friendly hotel with an adjacent restaurant. the staff in both are extremely helpful.we have been to this location many times, occasionally with friends too and we have always enjoyed our visits.the beach is very close and on a clear night it is well worth walking there to see the amazing sunset. this is a perfect location... Having stayed at the hotel and used the restaurant many times I was dissapointed this time when eating in the restaurant. The menu has not changed greatly between visits but the popularity of the restaurant with the hotel guests and the other campsites etc in the vicinity has grown dramatically. The restauarant was crowded and the service slow but the... More

We booked a superior room for 2 nights on booking.com, as hotel was advertised as accepting dogs. We were then told to cancel our booking if our dog was big,as only little dogs were allowed and only in a standard room. A dog is a dog surely? Very disappointed as we had been recommended this by friends.

Madame, we are a little surprise by your review, it's easy to put a comment on trip advisor, but it's also easy to contact the hotel before to made a booking on booking.com, when it's write on our page, that we accept dogs only on request, we just want to let you know that we accept small and big dogs,... Our car club has driven here each April for the last three years and found the restaurant pretty friendly. The food - we almost always choose from the 16 euro menu - is reasonable without being exceptional, but with twenty or so of us, it can get noisy in the echo-y extension. A three course meal for 16 euros plus... More

This is not the first time that I have stayed at this pleasant hotel. The welcome is always warm with the staff being friendly and professional. Escalles is a lovely rural village on the Cote Opale road just south west of Cap Gris Nez which is very convenient for the Channel Tunnell / Calais ferry terminal. The basic double rooms... More

This is close to the channel ports and tunnel, in a small village at Cap Blanc Nez. We stop here every year at the end of our holiday in France, for a relaxing afternoon after a day’s driving, an excellent dinner, a good night’s rest and an early start for the ferry in the morning. The bedrooms are like the... More

Simple and nice traditional familyrestaurant for two generations yet. Unfortenately too many British people making too much noise with no culinary education at all since the opening of the Chunnel many years ago. They want to pay for a fish and chips and except some French star restauration. Restaurant and service as what you can expect from a nice and... More

Stayed one night after Christmas after driving from Chenerailles. Had prebooked. Wanted a cheap hotel near the Tunnel where we did not need to drive for dinner. This place ticked all the boxes. The welcome was friendly, the room big and clean and the restaurant was yards away. The restaurant was packed and it was easy to see why. Four... More

Greeted by a very pleasant lady at reception, check in was swift (already reserved) before we were taken across the car park to our room, number 45 in the new block. So far so good, the hot air heating worked efficiently as did the bathroom heater which was welcome as it wasn't the warmest of days. Went shopping during the... More

Have stayed at the hotel many times over the years. Staff friendly and very helpful. Rooms have comfortable beds and all facilities clean. Always help you out of a problem if you have one. We love it there. The only addition we would like is a hospitality tray in the room so we can make a cup of tea or... More
