Our family of 4 adults and two children stayed in the Private House. The accommodation is absolutely luxurious, everything is of incredibly high standard and the food was out of this world. The reserve is set in the most beautiful location - overlooking the ocean and a stunning beach. Although you won't find all of the Big 5 here, our... More

This was our first stop in South Africa for our honeymoon in September from New York.. it was a lot of traveling but well worth it. I would do it again just to go back. The staff and resort is amazing. The first night we arrived it was about 10:30pm and we were the only guests at the hotel...the chef... More

Oceana is a truly luxurious property in a stunning location overlooking the Indian Ocean some 10 kilometres north of Port Alfred. We stayed for 2 nights and were the only guests although the owner of the property - Mr Rip Miller from Austin, Texas - was visiting at the same time. The first night we stayed in the Lodge Suite... Extremely helpful and friendly staff, amazing views from the room's balcony, great food and an amazing expanse of beach to explore. The 'wildlife reserve' part of this property is worth a visit as something to break up the day, but don't think of this as a replacement for any of the big 5 game reserves like Shamwari. We had good... More

I stayed at this property in August 2009 for two nights. It was truly the experience of a lifetime and I cannot rave enough about the experience. I left in tears as I was so sad to say goodbye to the property and the exceptional staff who made me feel right at home. The property itself is stunning and the... More

We stayed at Oceana for three nights to conclude our South African Honeymoon. It was the perfect place to go to right after Safari. The food was amazing! The landscape w/ beach and brush was something we probably will never see again. The staff was wonderful and attentive. Horse back riding on the beach is a must.

We stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The accommodation, facilities and Cuisine are top class. What makes Oceana Beach & Wildlife Reserve so unique is the fact that you have a Game & Beach Lodge all in one. Its like having the Kruger National Park on the coast.

Quite simply one of the most perfect places I have ever been to, there was nothing to fault! The accommodation was spectacular as was the view, the food plentiful and delicious, the staff friendly helpful and gracious, the management outstanding, the beach magnificent. I would go back in a heartbeat. I didn't want to leave!

This was the most beautiful place I have ever seen. The private beach is HUGE and so very unique. The game drives are awesome and leisurely. You do not have to get up at 5:00 AM to go on them. You can schedule them whenever you want. The dining was awesome. You MUST go here!!! We are from Virginia, USA.

I have been fortunate to stay at Oceana twice. Both times for a month, Jan '07 & Jan '09. The place is truly heaven on earth!! The lodge itself if immaculate. Attention to detail is all around. THe villas are breathtaking, and watching the sunrise/sunset on your private patios is a feeling like no other. THe staff is friendly, helpful... More
