“the good days are gone”

The hotel is a very good base for Taormina and Etna. However, the good days of the place are gone. It probably used to be a nice place. It is a bit worn off now. The view is just fabulous! Our kids enjoyed Etna every morning. Anyway, a good value in the Taormina area.

This is a no frills hotel. However, the view is to die for; there is a small balcony overlooking the ocean with Mt. Etna in the background. Marcello runs the place and speaks no English. However, he does everything in his power to satisfy requests. He also invited us to an after dinner drink each night that we came back... More

Spent 2 days there in May 2010. Nice hotel in a small beautiful town of Castelmola (sometimes they write it in 2 words: Castel Mola) just above Taormina (7 min by car). Though you can reach the town by bus, a car is strongly recommended. A bit outdated (with a spirit of mid 70s), but still is a quality hotel... More
