Official Description (provided by the hotel):: We are the largest resort on the north shore of Manitoulin Island with over 345 acres and some 3800 feet of the finest rocky Manitoulin shoreline. The shoreline is clean and clear of reeds of swamp and the wind from the lake and the terrain makes this area suprisingly free of bugs. We have our own Spoon and Ladle Hiking Trail. Our cottages are well spaced with approximately an acre of land and the waterfront cottages have their own provate shoreline. We are looking for people who are "Silver Birches" material. People who are laid back and sociable and looking to get away from their high paced lives. We are people friendly and pet friendly. If you are high maintenance or complaint driven or afraid of the dark or getting dirt on your shoes of animals or nature then please do not book with us. Our experience at silver birches was most wonderful ,Rachael and Corey are the most gracious of hosts.The cabin was wonderful and quiet,what a great retreat,looking forward to the next visit. “Rustic and Natural”

rustic and natural, the way manitoulin should be. if you want clean and shiny go to the hilton. if you want the smell of real wood and hear the waves on the shore and hear silence then this is the place for you. Cabin 1 has a massive field stone fireplace that I loved!

“Getting away from it all!”

We never laughed so much in our lives! Rachel ,Corey and family make you feel like you have been going there forever.We had a lovely secluded cabin ,but people were only minutes away.The view was amazing,especially yhe sunsets! We are not sure who loved it more us or our dog.This place is very pet friendly.
